The dream

For clients who are at the end (or nearing the end) of their academic careers, Distinction Coaching provides coaching and guidance on how to achieve a successful and fulfilling future, beginning with what this means. Our process starts with personal mentoring, including discussion around values, interests, skills and aspirations. We have found that both clients with and without a firm idea of their plans after graduation benefit from this.

Tailoring a robust plan

Long-term planning is central to our services. We help clients think carefully about their futures – this includes career, family and recreation. When it comes to these crucial decisions, we equip clients to make informed, conscious and deliberate decisions and form a detailed vision. Key to this is increasing our clients’ visibility of what is possible and raising their aspirations.

Expert guidance

After creating this plan, we guide our clients through its execution. This always begins with helping clients draw a line under the last phase of their lives and transition them to the next. This often, but not always, includes some form of career preparation, which includes orientation to the workplace, finding firm footing, improving performance, managing relationships in the workplace and thinking about career advancement.
